spell check of Studio 2009 Pro not working

I can't use this feauture because it is not allowed, I mean, F7 does nothing and in the tools menu appears in grey, so it is not working.
Does anyone know how to change this?

Does this happen to all languages?
Check in Tools - Options - Editor - Spelling, if you did not switch it off by any chance.

Yes, I went to the direction you say and the option boxes are tickable. I have three of them marked, as if it were working, but the spell checker still not working.
