I have Trados 2009 and Word 2010. I'm currently revising an uncleaned translated file in Word format. After finishing, I saved the file with all new changes without any problems. However, when I received another uncleaned files on the footnotes, when I saved the new changes on the file it was distorted and I couldn't open it again.

Can anyone help me in resolving this problem.

The workflow in Studio is different, there is no "cleanup" anmore Jan 4, 2011

I'm currently revising a cleaned translated file.

What do you mean by "revising a cleaned file" in Studio? The Studio Editor always works with bilingual files, so it is not clear what you mean by this. Did you open the translated target? This would not lead you anywhere.

However, when I received uncleaned files to revise them the update didn't work and the file was distorted

What do you mean by "update"? Were you unable to update the TM? How did this show up? Did you get an error message? Which one? Can you "save as target"?
