Dear All!
I'm writing to know if there's a way to pretranslate my .ttx files with the Multiterm entries.
I've already had a look in the web & reference manuals but I can't find anything about it.
I've also made a few tests but they were all unsuccessfull.
Do you have any ideas?

Thank you very much in advance!
Silvia

Yes, it's possible Jan 12, 2011

Once you have your termbase, connect it to Workbench as usual. Then, in Workbench, go to Tools - Translate - Translate terms - Replace. I've done this before with Word files, but it should work with TTX as well.

This is described in the Workbench help - look for the Translate command topic in the Index, and go to 7.

It didn't work with me! /// Fixed! Jan 12, 2011

Hi Adam!
Thank you very much for your quick reply!

I did try this but if I select "Replace", the source text will be replaced by MT entries, which means I'll loose the source.

I've tried by segmenting the file first, and then launching the Replace command...

If you said it worked with you, I'll try again.

Thank you a lot!
silvia

Adam, thank you!
I did some other tests and, apparently, it works.

The setting is:
Translate
100% or higher match value
Segment unknown sentences CHECKED
Update changed translations: Don't
Translate terms: Replace

Thanx a lot!!!
silvia

Pretranslating a file with Multiterm entries in Trados Studio 2009 Apr 11, 2012

This works fine with Trados Suite 2007. Does anyone know how this can be done in Trados Studio 2009?
