I just installed Multiterm 2009 on new computer (Windows 7 x64) as a part of Studio, and copied my termbases from the old computer (in MultiTerm 2007 format).

But all the termbases have names like mxw-1 etc - so how can I change the names of the termbases to the names displayed in MultiTerm 2007?

Find the MTMaster.mdb Jan 16, 2011

Open this fle, it contains the list of the names you mention with corresponding user friendly names from MT 2007.
TBH because of this I used the "Termbase - Package/delete termbase" to save the termbases with user friendly names on my HDD.
After you opened the MTMaster.mdb you can see which mxw-file corresponds with which termbase. Then in MultiTerm change the termbase definitions accordingly (using Catalog).

Thank you for your help - especially the hint about how to change the "Friendly names"! Now the termbases look as I want them to.
