Is there a way to proofread a Tageditor files in a way (similar to track changes mode in word) , so that the changes can be later sent to the original translator- so that he can accept or reject the changes?

Thanks but... Feb 4, 2011

Thanks, but isn't there a way using the features of Trados Tageditor itself without using any third party tools?

I fear that there is no such utility in TagEditor, as far as I know. It would neither make sense to create an external utility, if there existed such utility within Tageditor. Maybe other colleagues are more savvy.

What can be done, but only if you have the original document, and it is an MS-Word one is to export the proofreaded document, and to compare both files with the Word comparison tool under Tools -> Compare ad merge documents.

I think the closest option to your requirement within TagEditor would be comments (Edit > Comments...). Obviously, it is more time-consuming than the change tracking in Word...

Good luck!
