Hi all! I'm getting an error message when I clic on add in the Termbase window of my project. This is the message: "Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {EA16A56C-20DA-4A61-82C8-D224AC2F4073} failed due to the following error: 80040154"
it really threw me off cause I've got no idea what that means, thank you!

Removing the setting files does not help? Mar 1, 2011

C:\Users\your_username\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL MultiTerm\8.5.0.0\BaseSettings.xml
C:\Users\your_username\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL MultiTerm\8.5.0.0\UserSettings.xml

If not, try the repair utility for MultiTerm from article 3420 on talisma.sdl.com

I've been annoyed with issues arising one after another since I started to use this software.

I had several problems ( http://www.proz.com/forum/sdl_trados_support/193160-i_need_help_with_sdl_multiterm_2009.html ) and ended up with uninstallation and reinstallation of MultiTerm 2009.

Now, I have Trados Studio 2009 SP3 and MultiTerm 2009 SP1.
I could make a new termbase in MultiTerm 2009, but can not add it to my project. The message "CLSID {EA16A56C-20DA-4A61-82C8-D224AC2F4073} failed due to the following error: 80040154" appears when try to do so.

How did you solve this issue? What is the best way to do so?

Solved Oct 9, 2011

I have manually updated MultiTerm 2009 SP1 to SP3 based on http://vls.proz.com/forum/sdl_trados_support/160478-unable_to_install_multiterm_2009_sp2.html, and now I can create a new termbase and add it to a new project.
Just FYI.
