How to only analyze English texts in a file?

English to Chinese

Hi all,
I have a file with both English texts and Danish texts and I only need to analyze the English texts in the file.
I wonder if this is achievable in Trados Workbench? (I have both 2007 and 2009 Studio).

Any one has any idea?

Thank you so much in advance.

What format is the file? Feb 22, 2011

Hi xushen,

If the file is word then you could go through the document and hide (ctrl+shift+h) all the Danish text. Then the analysis in Studio will only analyse the English that is not hidden.

What format is the file?

Another idea might be to use the SDLXLIFF Converter. So you open the file (any file format) in Studio, copy source to target, save the SDLXLIFF, then use the converter to save the file in word as two columns. Then remove one column and use this to hide the Danish text and then analyse this document instead.
