cf tags ignored for MIF files? (Studio 2009, 9.1.2261.3)

MIF files use well-defined character styles, no formatting overrides. Appropriate cf tags refer to these tags.
Translated .sdlxliff files contain different cf tags, referring to local formatting (bold/italic) only, not to the name of the style. Probably side-effect of translators working in visualized mode.

Is it normal that even with "Ignore formatting tags" switched off I don't get a single alert about different tags?
