Memory Question
Thread poster: nandorj78

I created a EN-PT(Br) memory by importing some files I had aligned with winalign. These files are made of en-pt translations.

My question is: Can I do the inverse? Can I add to the same memory files that I translated from pt into en? Can a translation memory work both ways? en-pt and pt-en?

A TM is only one-way Mar 12, 2011

The TM is only used in one direction while you are translating, in your case from EN to PT. But a TM is reversible, meaning that you can also import your PT-EN texts into your EN-PT memory.

The import function automatically puts the TUs in the right place.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I'll check it to see how it works. If I've got any more doubts I'll post here.
