Hi,

While trying to insert a new term in MultiTerm from SDLTrados' editor platform, I received the following error message (in French) :

Ligne: 10

Caractère: 2

Erreur de script
Impossible d'effectuer un cast d'un objet de type 'SDL.MultiTerm.COM.TerminologyConnectorCOM' en type 'SDL.MultiTerm.COM.ITerminologyConnectorCOM'.
[Note from me: or 'SDL.MultiTerm.COM.lTerminologyConnectorCOM'; note sure if I or l-Terminology]

Code: 0

URL: file:///C:/Program%20Files/Common%20Files/SDL/MultiTerm8/MultiTermMtCommon/Editor/script/connector.js

Voulez-vous continuer à exécuter les scripts de cette page?

Whatever answer I choose (Yes or No), I then receive the following message :

Unspecified error invoking method or accessing property "applyLayout

Can someone please explain what it means? And how to solve the problem? I never had this problem before I installed MultiTerm SP4.

And other unrelated question: MultiTerm often crashes when I close it. Any idea why?

Thank you very much.

Patricia
Windows 7
SDL Trados Studio SP3 - 9.1.2229.0
SDL MultiTerm SP4 - 8.5.339.0

**
I just wanted to add that I cannot see any term in the termbase's window in SDLTrados. However, the term recognition does work (but I cannot see the actual terms in the termbase window).

Your Studio is not updated Mar 20, 2011

Before we go into detail of MultiTerm problems, you should get the latest Studio patches to get the 9.1.2261.3 build.
Please look on the Home screen into the RSS feed or go to kb.sdl.com to get the latest patches. Please observe, that you MUST update C++2005 and C++2008 runtimes before you apply the latest Studio patches. Please refer to KB article 3353.
