I've added a comment to a target sentence of my translation, now I would like to delete it, thefore I click on "Edit comment" and then on the comment window window I click on "Delete comment" and then on OK, but the comment remains! Has anyone had the same problem?

Not so important Mar 19, 2011

Try this: right-click in your target segment, choose Edit comment, mark your comment, click delete.

But this doesn't matter too much because you will get the same Target document anyway once you finish your work.

The other solution: at the top-middle of your screen (default display), choose the Comment tab to see your comment and delete it.

problem solved Mar 20, 2011

I don't know why the first solution didn't work, but the second one did just fine.
Thank you, very much!

Comment deletion is buggy for me Mar 20, 2011

When I try to delete a comment (even using the comment pane), it is not deleted or another comment gets deleted instead.

very strange Mar 22, 2011

To be honest, at the end I deleted all comments at the same time because I couldn't do it one by one or I was going to delete the wrong comments for reasons unknown to me...

Have to change comment's status to be able to delete it Mar 31, 2011

Hi,

I was wondering if somebody else experienced this: I have to change my comments' status to "Information" to be able to delete them. Is it a bug or did I miss something?

Thanks!
Patricia

Workaround to "I can't delete any comments ..." Apr 29, 2011

Hello,

I too have experienced this problem. I have, however, found a workaround which, albeit long-winded, has proved an effective last resort:

open the offending comment, make a small change and resave. Save the document and close it down. On re-opening, retry the delete process. 8 times out of 10 it works for me!

This is far from a satisfactory solution, however, and I am hoping that in the near future, SDL will resolve the issue once and for all.
