On SDL Trados 2007 Suite Professional with Activation code:

After a computer problem, I have this> "Initialisation of Trusted Storage failed with code 20".
Click Ok and... „No information about SDL licences could be retrieved.... ”

* The problem with my computer was the caused by SYSTEM fille:
"Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt : \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM"

* I had to replace the SYSTEM file with the similar one from windows\repair (according with the Fix from Microsoft website ). After the restart, my Licence had disappeared.

I got the following errors:
* On Licence manager > "Initialisation of Trusted Storage failed with code 20".
* On Workbench > "Trusted Storage failed to initialize".
* On TagEditor > "FLEX library initialization failed".

I wrote about this problem to SDL support, but no answer for the moment.

Any help? Any advice?

Maybe a solution Apr 28, 2011

I had the same problem today.
Returned the license, uninstalled Trados 2007.
Reinstalled and activated.
Now it works again.
Have no idea of what went wrong in the first place.
