Hello everyone

As I translate a long text in Trados Studio 2009 (English Canada to French Canada, open for translation), confirmed segments don't seem to be added to the Project Memory or to the Main Memory (up to now this part worked perfectly).

In Options All Language Pairs "Translation Memory and Automated Translation", Translation Minimum Match Value is 30, Concordance Minimum Match Value is 30.

When translating a segment that I know is very similar or identical to another segment I have translated, the old target segment doesn't appear in the Translation Results Window or in the segment target segment window. When I come back to a previously translated segment, it doesn't appear in the Translation Window again, as it did in the past.

Even when I save the document and "update main TM" or "update project memory", the segments don't seem to be added anywhere.

So what has gone wrong? How do I correct this problem?

Thank you all.

Jean-Pierre

Have you checked all the right boxes in "project settings"? Apr 3, 2011

Sorry if this sounds obvious.

Yes, it sounded obvious, but you were right!

How could this parameter have changed in the middle of a project without my knowing? Just another mystery.

Thank you. I will add this to my lists of things to think about when things go wrong.
