Dear All,
I've just completed to proofread in Studio SP3 the file that was sent to me as .ttx. To be able to open it I saved it as *all files*. Now I have to convert it back to .ttx and for the life of me I cannot remember how I did it last timeicon_frown.gif((.
Can you please help me by giving the instructions?
Thanks in advance!

Save target as Apr 12, 2011

You will get two options, one of them being TTX.

Will that be a bilingual file, Apr 12, 2011

or just a target file in the .ttx format? I did not use this because I need the bilingual file...

Yes it will Apr 12, 2011

This will be the bilingual file. "TRADOStag Document" is the option name.

Fantastic!!! Apr 12, 2011

I most definitely cannot avoid the exclamation marksicon_smile.gif
I've been looking at this option for 2 hours telling myself that "target" means the file in the target language...

Boris and Emma, thank you very much!

Problem converting SDLXLIFF to TTX Apr 13, 2011

Hi all

I am new to Studio 2009 (2nd project). I'm working on a PPTX file and need to save it to TTX format. When I select "Save Target as" I only have the option to save in pptx format.

Can you help?

Thanks in advance

Andy

ttx's Apr 13, 2011

You will only get out what you have put in.
If you opened a pptx, that's what you'll get, plus the bilingual sdlxliff.

However, if you know in advance that you have to deliver a ttx, then you should first convert your pptx to ttx using Tag Editor or Ttx It, and open the ttx in Studio. That way you will be able to choose to save it as ttx or as pptx.
