Hi everyone,

This issue concerns to SDL Studio 2009. I'd really, really appreciate your swift responses, as I'm on the brink of a deadline.

I have received some *.itd files for translation which are ¿apparently pre-processed? for en-US to es-AR.

The problem is that my TM target language is es-MX, so I can't find a way to open the files for translation, just for reference. Also, I have to deliver the translated files with es-MX as target language.

I know I can create a new TM to match target language in files (es-AR), but this will do no good as I have to deliver, as I said, the translated files as es-MX.

So, is there a way to change the target language within the file or any other workaround to this issue?

I have this terrible feeling that the solution is something very obvious, still I can't seem to get it.

Many thanks in advance!

Had to read this a few times... May 16, 2011

... but I think this is what you are trying to achieve.

You received an ITD as en-US to es-AR

You want to give back an ITD as en-US to es-MX

Best solution is to use SDL Utilities where you can take the completed es-AR ITD and change the target language to whatever you want.

Regards

Paul

Any other way? May 16, 2011

Thanks Paul.

Unfortunately, I have no idea what SDL Utilities is.

I did some googling and read in this thread that it was/is an add-on for SDLX.

Apparently, the add-on was available for download at this link:
http://www.sdl.com/products-home/products/sdlx/sdlx-2004-xtra-features.htm

Link is broken.

Then I searched in SDL.com. Results weren't helpful..

SDL Utilities changed name? What am I doing wrong? Any other solution?

Thanks!

ps. And sorry if you had a hard time understanding my post, Paul. I was really tired and annoyed. I just tried to be as polite as I could.

SDLX Utilities May 17, 2011

Hi Ernesto,

SDLX Utilities is part of SDLX, it's not an add on. When you start SDLX you see a dashboard that looks a little like this (mine is prettified courtesy of a nice skin from Esther)and Utilities is just one of the tools in there:

Does this help you find it?

Paul
