Hello,

When I turn on my iMac I receive the following error message:

"XML Parsing Error"
"An error occurred whilst parsing the xml. Please check whether the file at C:\Users\MyPCName\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Multiterm\WidgetSettings.xml is well formed. Root element is missing.

I saw that this topic was posted for PCs, but I have no idea how to solve it on my iMac.

Mac OSX
Parallel Desktop
Windows 7
SDL Studio 2009

I looked for the file named WidgetSettings.xml, but I couldn't find it.

Does anyone can help me?

Many thanks in advance!

XML PARSING ERROR Jul 2, 2011

Hi,

I also own an iMac and run Windows 7 on a virtual machine (via Parallels).

When Windows starts, I get a similar error:

Xml Parsing Error
An error occured whilst parsing the xml. Please check whether the file at C:\Users\Stefano\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL
MultiTerm\WidgetSettings.xml is well formed.
Root element is missing.

I click on OK and it is followed by another message:
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Have you found a solution?

Thanks.

I would try the following Jul 3, 2011

1. Quit MultiTerm Widget
2. Save a backup copy of the WidgetSettings.xml file to a different folder
3. Delete WidgetSettings.xml from the original folder
4. Launch MultiTerm Widget to see if the WidgetSettings.xml will be re-created.

Note that this is just a blind shot.
