Well, simple answer is Jun 24, 2011

SDL Trados Studio 2009 is supplied with Trados 2007. Use the latter.

Thanks Jun 24, 2011

Thanks
What I forget to mention was the files are Word 2010, and I know from experience that Trados 2007 and Word 2010 are not fully compatible.

Doesn't work anyway Jun 24, 2011

Hi again
I tried with SDL Trados 2007 and that doesn't work either.
When I finish creating the project and the files are analysed by the memory, I get an error telling me the files are bilingual.

Thanks Giovanni, but I don't think that will solve the problem. Apparently it's not possible to proof-read these files in SDL Trados. I shall have to do it "by hand".

Too complicated Jun 24, 2011

To do that I would have to re-install the Trados "add-in" in Word 2010, which would take quite a while, and as I said earlier there are problems using Trados 2007 with Word 2010 anyway. It'll be quicker to do it by hand, the files contain 3,000 words or so.

Use WordFast (Classic) Jun 25, 2011

Even the eldest version (I have it somewhere if your need it) will allow you to open the file, produce a TMX memory (if needed) and deliver a fully compatible bilingual file.
