I have finished a project with SDL Trados Suite 2009, all files are 100% translated except one which is 89%. In this last file (.sdlxliff), all segments status are “translated”.
However, the file confirmation level is: 74 words “non translated” , - 42 words “draft” and 286 w. “translated”.
Has anyone an idea how to change the status of this file to “Translated” / 100% ?

Known problem Aug 8, 2011

This seems to be a statistical error. It's been around for a long time, and has been reported in these forums many times (see this one (particularly the reply from SDL support) for example.

It's a known bug, but no real solution, as far as I'm aware. Perhaps someone can tell us whether it's been resolved in Studio 2011...

Run a batch task again Aug 8, 2011

Hi Margarita,

If you run a Batch Task again, such as Translation Count, then it will update the counts.

Paul

Display filter Aug 8, 2011

Hola Margarita,

Have you tried and changed the display filter (top right corner) to "Unconfirmed segments" (for example) and see if it shows your draft segment(s)?
If you don't see this toolbar, go to View > Toolbars and enable Display Filter.

HTH
Nicolas

Thank you but ... Aug 8, 2011

Hello everyone,

Thanks for all your answers but I didn’t reach any result. I have run a Batch Task (Translation Count) and the file is still 89%, I have changed the display filter and there isn’t any unconfirmed or draft segment.

I have also read the forum topic “Studio 2009: Discrepancies in word count” and I fear that I will not find a solution soon.

Kind regards.

Hi Margarita Aug 8, 2011

There MUST be an unconfirmed segment in that file.

Open the file in question in the editor, save, place the cursor in the first segment and press Ctrl+Enter. This will allow you to find the unconfirmed segment(s).

No unconfirmed segment(s) in the file Aug 9, 2011

Hi Natalie,

I have placed the cursor in the first segment and pressed Ctrl+Enter but the file does not find any unconfirmed segment(s). The cursor stays in the first segment.
Thank you for your help.

No, not necessarily. The figures Studio gives are nothing more than very rough estimates and can in no way be relied upon. Sometimes running a batch task does help, but sometimes, it doesn't. I know it's ridiculous, but that's the way Studio works.

In any case, I have never run upon something like this.
