Hi,
I need to proofread a TTX file in Trados Studio.
The file contains a lot of segments with variables placed between the percentage characters: e.g.
Please contact %TEST_NAME%
However, these variables are not defined as non-translatables or locked in any other way.
So, I have segments with editable variables in both the source text and the target text.
Is there a way to run a QA check to verify that the variable in the source segment is the same as the variable in the target segment?
I tried to use a regular expression for QA Checker 3.0 to find mismatched variables:
Regex source: %(.*?)% Regex target: %$1% Condition: Report if the source matches but not the target
This is intended to find any text in the source segment enclosed between the percentage characters where the text enclosed in the percentage characters in the target segment is NOT the same.
Unfortunately, this approach doesn't work in my case.
