Hello
I am translating with a Table of Contents and came to one ITEM in the text that is part of it. The title is missing and there is a grey unmovable cursor there. How can I get rid of this and is this a Microsoft thingie or a Trados thingie? Driving me bonkers!!!

This is not a cursor Apr 22, 2004

But a text mark.
How do you translate table of contents?
If this was automaticaly created, translating the items in contents itself will not help, as after refreshing the field (with F9) they will be overwritten with all the headlines in the document.
What you should do is to translate the document including headlines first and then recreate the table of contents.
However, if the TOC is not created based on styles, you can get some problems.
In your particular case it seems, that the TOC was created using text marks.
In order to help you better I would need to look at your document.

If you wish, please contact me via my profile.

Regards
Jerzy
