Studio 2009: multiple TMs - Whic one is updated?

Hi!

This is maybe a basic question, but I'm just starting to use Studio 2009 after an upgrade weminar in Proz.

I have upgraded two legacy TM from Trados 2007 to Studio 2009, and created two independent TM in Studio 2009 (i.e. no merging).

I want Studio 2009 to lookup both TM when translating. And my question is: will both TM be updated with the new entries or only one? Can I set it?

The one you chose for uodating Sep 14, 2011

And you should chose only one. Updating more than one TM durin work is contra productive.



To know which one is updated check the settings as above. Updated will be only the TM with "Update" field selected.

Can I use "Concordance" Sep 14, 2011

Hi,
The answer helps me a lot too. But, can I use "concordance" using several TM?

The screen shot is just an example, not the non-plus-ultra setting.
You can specify the settings exactly as you wish.
For example:
- TM 1 for lookup, concordance and update
- TM 2 only for lookup
- TM3 only for concordance
- TM4 for lookup and concordance
and so on

You are free in that. What you should never do, is updating more than one TM during your work with the project.
