Trados 2007: When I right-click a Word file, there´s no Translate with SDLX option

Hi everybody.

I have just installed Trados 2007. I followed the steps suggested in the documentation, I opened the SDLX Switchboard, iI went to Tools, Options, and selected Enable SDLX items on context menus, then clicked OK as suggested. When I right clicked the Word file again, there´s no Translate with SDLX again! I opened Tools, Options, and the option I had selected, was de-selected.

Any ideas about what might be going wrong?

Simply open the DOC file in SDLX? Sep 26, 2011

Hi Virginia,
the OLE extension may not be working, but I suppose the SDLX application itself is. So why don't you simply run SDLX and open your DOC file from there?

Yes, I am doing that in fact. But I thought that maybe someone had encountered the same problem and had an idea that could help. It is a useful shortcut and it´s a pity not to use it.

Hi Maria Virginia,

I have the same problem, after selecting the right option in Switchboard > Tools > Options > General tab and hitting Ok, I still have no "Translate with SDLX" option upon right-clicking on a Word or Excel file.
Did you manage to solve this issue?
