Dear Community,
I'm in urgent need regarding the following issue:
When creating or previewing a translation (EN->DE) created with SDLX 2006 from an Excel 2003 file, the German Excel file displays squares or other placeholders instead of the German Umlaute or ß.
SDLX Maintain shows the correct German characters in the translation column, same with SDLX Edit.
I hope you can help, thanks a lot in advance!
Nicole

Issue solved: German Umlaute displayed when applying SDL again Oct 4, 2011

Dear Community,
In the meantime, I could resolve the issue myself:
I re-translated the English source Excel file again in SDLX (I just applied the TM, the resulting translation consisted of 100% matches only).
Clicking Preview Translation opened an Excel file with German Umlaute.
Hope this will help others in the future!
Kind regards,
Nicole
