Hello everybody,
I have been using MultiTerm 2009 SP3 successfully until now.
I received a MultiTerm termbase in the form of two files, extensions xml and xdt.
I was able to create the termbase, but the problem is that it is empty. Both mtf files created, source and target, are empty.
Not knowing what to do, I tried closing MultiTerm, erasing the database and erasing then the following files (as suggested by Paul from SDL somewhere else): ... See more
Hello everybody,
I have been using MultiTerm 2009 SP3 successfully until now.
I received a MultiTerm termbase in the form of two files, extensions xml and xdt.
I was able to create the termbase, but the problem is that it is empty. Both mtf files created, source and target, are empty.
Not knowing what to do, I tried closing MultiTerm, erasing the database and erasing then the following files (as suggested by Paul from SDL somewhere else):
BaseSettings.xml plugincache.xml UserSettings.xml
Then, I opened MultiTerm and recreated the termbase, but still there are no terms in the termbase.
I went to SDL's Solution Finder, but I was not able to find anything relevant to my problem.

Did you import the xml into the newly created termbase?

When you create a termbase it is ALWAYS empty. So unless you imported anything there it will remain empty as long you do not add any terms or import the content.

Thanks a lot, Jerzy!
Ha, Ha! It was so elementary that I am slightly tempted to feel embarrassed!
Once more (lots so far), I benefit from your advice.
Miguel
