How do I get rid of all the tags in Studio 2011?

You can see on this screencast that the Word-dokument that has been opened in SDL Trados Studio 2011 has tags everywhere:

How should I best handle this? How can I turn off display of tags, and just write my translation in the target TU? If I can do that without loosing the formatting completely.

In fact the tags are not caused by Studio. What you can also easily do is to store Word as Word 2007, then in Studio go to Word 2007 filetype and select to skip advanced font formatting (tracking, kerning etc.) - this will remove nearly all tags.
TBH it is really a good thing to understand WHY the tags appear. To do so look at the full tag text and try to understand it. Should you fail, post it here and we shall look after what kind of formating is hidden behind.
