When trying to start SDLX for the first time on Windows 7, I got the following error message:

"S42TMC.DLL failed to load. Ensure the dll has been registered with regsvr32.exe."

I got the same message for another DLL, so it seems that several are not registered.

As advised in SDL's Knowledgebase, I ran RegDLL.exe and then tried to register the ones that failed to register with this program manually via "Open With" -> "regsvr32.exe". When doing so, I get an error message stating that the DLL was loaded, but that loading "DllRegisterServer" failed with the error code 0x80020009.

Some online research I did suggests that this is due to administrations rights. Although I am the admin of my computer, Windows 7 sometimes does not recognize me as one.

Does anybody know how I can register the missing DLLs?

I ran "RegDLL.exe" again, but as an admin by right-clicking the program and selecting "Run as Administrator". This time around, it registered all the necessary DLLs.

Product: SDLX 2007, Part of SLD Trados 2007
OS: Windows 7 Japanese

I encountered same problem when I clicked "Edit" from SDLX. Initially, I did not encountered this problem. This issue was resolved by following the link.

The difference is "Repair" is not displayed in my case. It seems it was reinstalled with correct settings. When the process was completed, it required rebooting PC.
