I started a new translation memory, and tried to open a new file.
What happens is that the files texture is being copied into the translated area.

Does that happen due to the new translation memory file?

All help will be appreciated.

Ok a little first class lesson for me - an option for copying source content to target cells was checked.

Hello Itay Nov 16, 2011

In case your new TM is empty, there is nothing to enter into the translation. In this case the sourcer text is copied into the target if the option "copy source on no match" is ticked in the options.

This is normal behavior of the software.

I try to get the hang of Trados, meanwhile with all sort of obstructions, but I will manage.
