Hello,

I did a whole project using SDL 2009. It was a Word file, I did the translation using one of my TMs, corrected the tag problem (because, first of all, there was the error "can't convert to Word"). OK, so the tags are corrected, and apparently the target document was OK.

But when I try to open it using Word 2010, I get the message that there are problems with the file and it can't be opened. Taking a deep breath, I took the original source file all over again, opened Tag Editor (I also have Trados 2007 installed), use the same TM, but my translation isn't there!!

I don't know what to do anymore - I have to deliver this project tomorrow, it's already done, but I can't manage to open it in any software.

What can I do? Does anyone have a plausible solution for this?

Thank you in advance.

TM settings Dec 6, 2011

Hi Heloisa,

I can think of two reasons why your TM is empty.

1) Did you use a project TM in Studio? In that case you need to run a batch task to update the main TM.

2) Is the 'Update' box at the far right of the TM settings window unchecked? If so, the TM you are using will not be updated with the newly entered translation content.

Hope this helps!
Stephanie

Studio and Tag Editor cannot use the same TM, they use different TM formats...
