I plan to buy SDL Trados 2011 Freelance. I was thinking what if I only have one license and my computer somehow broke down and I haven't got the chance to de-activated it. Would I be able to run the program in another computer/laptop?

Two options Dec 9, 2011

Hi Sri,

In the curcumstance you describe you have two options:

1. Use the Solution Finder to have your license reactivated
2. Purchase SDL Trados Studio 2011 Freelance Plus as this will give you an additional activation code

The Solutionfinder works like this. Go to the Knowledgebase;

Then go to the tab called Solution Finder and now go here;

Licensing Problems
- I have lost one of my license activations.

This will bring up a form that you can fill in to generate a support request and you will be contacted, normally within a day.

The FreelancePlus version can be purchased through here:

It costs 22€ more to have the additional license.

I hope this helps.
