To avoid having to manually type into the target text any (capitalized) names mentioned a source text, I would like to 'create' a placeable, so I can just select all capitalized words as placeables and copy them directly into the target text (this function is featured for example in Wordfast PRO).
All suggestions on how to achieve this in SDL Studio 2009 are welcome!

Thank you!

Use acronym recognition Jan 17, 2012

Hi, Bea,

If you go to your TM settings -> Fields & Settings and tick under Settings - Recognize acronyms, all words written with capitals come up as placeables.

Only recognizes acronyms Jan 17, 2012

Hi Roy,

Thank you for your swift reply!
Unfortunately, that setting only recognizes acronyms (i.e. words with several consecutive capital letters), not names (with only one capital letter at the beginning of the word).
All other suggestions greatly appreciated!

Three answers: Multiterm, Autotext, Dragon Jan 18, 2012

I tend to use Multiterm for this, although you could use Autotext.

My primary source is Dragon NaturallySpeaking, so I enter the phrase in as capitalized and Dragon merrily types it out as I speak....
