When generating a new AutoSuggest Dictionary for a specific TM (no problems with other TMs, just this file), during the "Extracting phrases" phase I receive this error:

Invalid ConnectionString format for parameter "Data Source"

Anyone know a fix for this?

Export the TM to TMX Feb 14, 2012

Then create a new TM, import the TMX there, recompute fuzzy index and re-index the TM.
Then export TMX again and try to create the ASD from this TMX file.

That didn't work Feb 14, 2012

Thank you for your quick reaction!

I tried your fix, but unfortunately it resulted in the same error message as before.

Sorry, no clue then Feb 14, 2012

As it is just this TM which does not work, I supposed it to be corrupted, so the method was to omit corrupt entries. But it is not the case, so I really don't know.

Data Source Feb 14, 2012

If I were you, I'd check the tmx for Data Source under Wordpad and see what it says, was your TM exported from another CAT tool?

Removed "Data Source" Feb 15, 2012

Following your advice I searched the tmx file for "Data Source" and removed all translation units that contained it.

To no avail: the same error keeps popping up.

The original TM was created in Trados Freelance 7 (tmw file).

The TM can be non-unicode one.
Please open the original TM in SDL Trados 2007 Suite, reorganize it there and close.
Then use this one for updating in Studio and try with that TM.

Reorganized the files Feb 15, 2012

Well, I don't have Trados 2007 Suite, but I reorganized the TM with Workbench (Freelance 7), and the result I exported both as .txt and .tmx

Both these files I converted into UNICODE and UTF versions, resulting in 4 different TM files.

In Studio 2011 I used the tmx files directly to generate an ASD. The txt files had to be updated first before generating an ASD.
Unfortunately, all efforts failed and gave me the same old error again.

Maybe try... Feb 15, 2012

... importing your TMX into an SDLTM (Studio TM) and then create the ASD from the SDLTM. If the import works it might clean up whatever is causing the problem. Worth a try anyway.

If it still doesn't work drop me an email and I'll give you an ftp to place the TM (if it's larger than 10Mb zipped... otherwise just email it) and I'll have a go for you.
