Hello,

I'd like to import some old files into a TM (Studio 2011), but I don't find the information I need to do so.

- is this still possible, as it used to be with WinAlign?
- if so, how?

Many thanks in advance,
Caroline

In Studio 2011, click on the "Home" button on the left. You'll then see a top bar with "Align Translated Documents". Click on that, and you'll find a familiar interface.

... and some icons may be hidden :) + Segmentation recommended? Jul 21, 2012

Hi,

Reading the thread triggered the idea to click on the right-hand nano-arrow to find more icons. Thank you

However, what segmentation would you recommend?

(If you agree that it wouldn't be worth another thread.)

Thanks in advance.

And how do I import it? Sep 23, 2013

After aligning the two documents, I get a TXT file. How do I import it into Studio 2011?

1. You could select tmx as the export format in WinAlign instead of txt.
2. Or, add the txt TM in Studio by going to the Translation Memories window and clicking File>Open>Open Translation Memory. Instead of selecting the .sdltm format, choose .txt from the dropdown list.

HTH,
Emma
