I need to analyse one source file against another in Trados Workbench 2007. What would be the quickest way to create a TM from a source file for that purpose (the target text can be anything)?

Hi,

I am note sure that I understood you correctly sicne I could not get out your phrase (from a source file).

Anyway, to analyse such file just create TM then click Tools>>Analyse...
and add the file(s) you want to analyse. That is it.

Regards

Hi,

I think the quickest way is to create an empty TM and then analyse the first file. Workbench will build a temporary TM during this process. You then remove the first file and add the second. Make sure you check Use TM from previous analysis and click analyse. The results should be the differences between the two manuals.

Regards

Paul
