Unable to load client's QA profile settings in Studio 2009

Hello,

I am trying to load QA profile settings from a .sdlqasettings file in Studio 2009 (via Tools, Options, Verification, QA Checker 3.0, QA Checker Profiles, Import Settings).

When I choose the file, however, the following error message pops up:

'The file selected does not contain QA Checker profile information.'

Of course, I have contacted my client to check that there are no problems with the file. She has assured me that she has tried to import it at her end and that it worked fine.

Does anyone have any idea about what might be going wrong at my end? I am unable to start work on the project until I get this sorted out!

Thanks in advance for any advice,
Emily

Hi Emily,

I don't know a solution to your error, but could you perhaps ask your client to send screenshots/details of the verification settings so that you can set them up your end manually instead?

At least it would allow you to work on the project in the meantime.

Kind regards,

Hazel

Thank you, Hazel! Apr 22, 2012

Hi Hazel,

Thank you ever so much for your reply. Manually would have been a good idea, as it turns out.

But in the end I had to start the project without having loaded the settings (as per the client's advice). I did find out what the problem was, though - a compatibility issue between Studio 2011 and 2009 (the file had been created in 2011 and I am working in 2009).

Kind regards,
Emily
