I installed Trados 2007 Freelance in another computer, returned my license and activated it on the new one.
Now Tag Editor does not seem to link to Translator's Workbench. I can open Translator's Workbench on its own, but when I open a file in Tag Editor only the ( symbol is activated, if I open the segment it won't let me save t as only the ) option is active. There seems to be no link to the Workbench.
If I click on the icon to open the TW in Tag Editor I get a message saying that Tag Editor could not open Translator's Workbench.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Antivirus May 5, 2012

Try to disable security software and then connect to Workbench.
If it works, look for correponding option in your security software or add TW4Win.exe to trusted programs.

Hope it helps
Oleg.

Same problem here May 6, 2012

Hi!
Trados Freelance Suite 8.3.0.863
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate Service Pack 1

I´m having exactly the same problem.
I´m changing computers so I returned the license, installed SDL Trados Freelance Suite in my new computer, activated the license successfully, registered Trados Components but TagEditor can´t find Workbench.

I tried deactivating the antivirus software but the problem presists.

I cannot access SDL Knowledge Base either.
Do you have any other idea to solve the problem?

Your help will be much appreciated!

Regards,
Marina

Problem solved May 6, 2012

Hello!

If you are running Windows 7, go to All Programs (sorry, my OS is in Spanish) > SDL International > SDL Freelance 2007 > Trados and right click on Register SDL Trados 2007. Then, choose run as administrator.

That worked, at least for me.

Regards,
Marina

Solution is perfect! May 15, 2012

I bought a new computer, installed Translator's Workbench 2007 Freelance and could not open the WB after having opened TagEditor. When activating "working as administrator" the problem was solvedicon_smile.gif

Thank you!
