Hello,

I am offered a large job involving post-editing/spot-checking of machine translated user manuals, service manuals, etc. The required file format is ITD, and the tool of course SDLX. A server connection will be necessary during work.

The problem: Am I required to buy or upgrade to SDLX to meet these requirements? Or can I use SDLX Lite or work from Trados 2007? The SDL website has not managed to enlighten me very much on this issue. I own a Trados Studio 2007 Freelance and Studio 2009 Freelance Plus license. And I also did a small project using SDLX Lite for the same company. Is SDLX inluded in Trados 2007 Freelance (as the two programs combined in 2006)? Or will I have to upgrade to Trados 2011 Freelance Plus to get hold of SDLX?

Also, when I installed SDLX Lite on my computer, I got problems getting Trados Studio 2009 started and so had to install SDLX Lite on my second computer, where it worked fine. Can the two be used on one platform, or does this cause any interferences?

Thanks a lot!

Trados 2007 or Studio will work with itd-files Jun 15, 2012

If you have Trados 2007 you should also have SDLX. But itd-files can be translated also in Trados.
