I have translated - without any problems or error messages - an inx file for a client.

His end-client now comes back with the following problem from InDesign:

Danska behöver sparas i samma version av InDesign som övriga. Jag får upp denna:

Det gick inte att öppna filen
Det finns inga funktioner for filformatet i Adobe InDesign, ett nödvandigt plugin-program saknas, eller ër filen öppnad i ett annat program.

[translation of above]
[The Danish should be saved in the same version of InDesign as the other [languages]. I get the following error message:
The file xxxxx could not be opened.
There are no functions for the file format in Adobe InDesign, a necessary plugin application is missing, or the file is opened in another application].

Does anyone know what the problem is as I would like to avoid this in the future.

I have tested the file now in Trados 2007 - and translation and export from here works for the client. So what's up???

Sorry - Trados Studio 2011, not 2001 Jul 11, 2012

Hi Anne

Not really - the problem arose in Trados Studio 2011. I have managed to get the file through 2007 with the TM from my first attempt and this works for the client but I don't understand why Studio 2011 corrupts the file.

Best wishes,
