After "Get/Close", cursor jumps past target (yellow) window, thwarting Trados

This happened over a few days.

Initially, the mouse cursor (this is WIndows 7) in my Firefix nmailbox (in Yahoo) opened the selection directly above the one the actual cursor was pointing to. Now, in Trados 2007, on "Open/Get" the cursor is impossible to place in the "yellow" target field.
And after "Set/CLose Open/Get" the brown-background error message on bottom of Workbench admonishes: "Cursor must be in field".
True, but how do I get it to behave itself, though?

Is this a Windows level bug, does it ring any bells for anyone? Or is it Trados-specific?

Grateful for any pointers

best
Vito

Have you tried the Draft View? Aug 6, 2012

When this happens to me (in Word 2010), the solution is to switch Word from Print Layout view to Draft view, then I can get the cursor in the right place.
