I created a new project with several files. I created a translation memory in this project. How do I open files for translation. I went to File >Open>Project but this failed to open the files.

Excuse me, but Aug 9, 2012

you have asked about the Quick Guide a while ago. Have you downloaded it?
The workflow process is described quite clearly there.

Also, if you don't like using the software HELP, I would recommend you to buy the manual - it is available at SDL website, in the Open Exchange section.

Go to the Files View Aug 9, 2012

On the left hand panel (or in the View menu), go to the Files view. With your target language selected, any files that have been prepared as part of a project should appear on the top right panel.

Double click the file you want to open for translation, and this will open the file and will take you to the Editor view.
