Hi,

When I start Studio Starter 2011 it gives an error msg "An unexpected error has occurred while loading the application plug-ins"

I tried several times and each time it gives different error details. When I clik OK on the first error message, I get another one saying: 'Riferimento a un oggetto non impostato su un'istanza di oggetto'

I will be grateful if anyone could suggest a work around for this ASAP.

delete a file Aug 23, 2012

hi Natalia,
a lot of people have had your same problem.

try with the following:
delete the file "plugincache.xml"

C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\9.1.0.0\plugincache.xml

or a similar path for Studio 2011.

(you will have to unhide hidden files in Folder Options to be able to find it).

the file you delete will be recreated when you open Studio.

good luck!
