It seems to me that with every update of Trados, things get more complicated...

I am translating 8 Word files in Trados Studio 2011 but when I go to the translation memory view I only see 12 units displayed on screen. I have translated more than a 1000 words and I do not understand where the rest is...

I've tried clicking on almost every button within' the program but nothing seems to work.

Could anyone please give me some advice?

I've searched the forum but I can't find anything on this topic which relates to Trados Studio 2011.

Thanks for your answers.

Options Oct 9, 2012

Hi,

In TM View -> Tools -> Options - select TM View and change No. of TUs per page to 200.
Open your TM and click on the Blue arrow, second toolbar and you should see all your TM entries.

HTH,

Bernard

TM not Updating Oct 9, 2012

There must be something wrong when your TM is updated

Have you attached a TM to your project and checked whether the "enabled" checkbox is checked in your TM Project Settings.

Assuming you've translated your Word files, got to TM View, select your TM, right-click and select import -> Add Files --> Supported Import Files - click on the down arrow and select sdlxliff files, select your files and import - if it doesn't fix it - I don't know what else I could suggest

Maybe check the obvious... Oct 9, 2012

... it won't be the first time someone looked into a different TM to the one being updated. Certainly if you connected the TM, your confirmed the segments and you had the checkbox set to update the TM then the TM will update.

If you really need to get them into the TM you are looking in then rightclick on the TM, select import and import the sdlxliff files you have translated. This will also work.

Regards

Paul

Thanks to Bernard Lieber for the tip! I changed the units per page to 200 and there they were. But how do a I get to the next 200 and so on?

Thank you! Oct 4, 2013

Bless you, Bernard, you're an angel!

I needed someone to tell me the obvious! Of course it makes sense that the TM should be partly displayed, it's too big. The 200 segment trick worked for me too.

Thanks!

Very late but thanks, Bernard! Oct 10, 2013

Bernard, I forgtot to check this post again but thanks for the solution again! Nobody else had mentioned how to navigate the pages in a TM - not even the long and detailed descriptions on using TMs. Next time I have a question I'll make sure I check your replies sooner
