Hi everyone,

I bought Trados Studio 2011 during the September Buy-Out. Today, when I clicked on it I got the message "Error occurred retrieving your license". What's wrong? Can anyone help me out? I didn't perform any operations that would cause this. Here is a screenshot:

Thanks in advance.

Hi JRK,

Thank you very much for your help, but the solution didn't work. It's already set to automatic. For such an expensive software this shouldn't happen. I have two projects to deliver today and now what?

Many thanks for trying to help me.
Kind regards

Solution Oct 17, 2012

Hi Daniel,

Are those service already to start?
If these service did not start, please start manually.

or

If you use NOD32 of antivirus software, please stop NOD32 service and start these service.
NOD32 sometime mistaken for a virus these services

And another solution for you.
If these service already to start, I think some module for license manager clashed.
I suggest to repair install from SDL Trados Studio 2011 on "Control panel" - "Add or Remove Programs".
*Not "Remove suite of programs". Not re-install from installer
*This suggest is your own risk for your project. But repair install can fix for some baffling problem from my experience.

Best Regards,

Thank you very much. IT WORKED!!! You just saved my life. Thank you so much. Truly, deeply appreciated.

Just for the record: It worked with the second solution: Repair the installation.
