I've noticed there's a similar thread but I prefer to open a brand new one.

So, when translating a file in the Editor, I choose the TMs, I check all 4 boxes (Activé/Activated, Recherche/Search, Actualiser/Update, Concordance).

But the TM does not get updated (I confirm of course each segment of what I translate).

What's odd is that this seem to happen randomly. Some projects will get saved in the TM, others won't.

I clicked on the properties of the TM, and the language for the "ressources linguistiques" (linguistic resources?) is English (US) so this is correct for the file.

So I tried to import manually a completed file in the TM:
- I click the TM tab
- I click on Import at top
- I select the sdlxliff file to add
- I click Next
- New screen appears: three boxes are already checked (Import only: Translated/Translation approved/Validated). I click next.
- New screen appears (General import options): none of the boxes are checked. I click Next
- I click on Terminer/Finish
- New screen appears: Read:23 (I have 23 segments in the file) / Imported:0 / Errors:0

And nothing gets imported.

Is it a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks

Update TM Nov 1, 2012

When you finish the translation click on Project--Batch Tasks--Finalize(cleans up the file and updates main translation memories) or Update Main Translation Memories in order to update them. Good luck!

Question Nov 1, 2012

Are the translated segments in your file approved/validated?

Thanks for your answers!

Natalie -> I confirm each segment using CTRL-ENTER

Lia -> I did as you told me and situations is the same.
Some projects are included in the TM while some others never can be included in the TM.
That's really odd because I'm doing the exact same thing for all of them.

I guess it's rather some kind of bug but I see something quite odd on one of the projects that can't be included in the TM:
- it's a short project (5 cells/about 100 words/no weird coding or such, just text).
- ALl the segments are confirmed.
- I click on project/batch tasks/finalize and here Studio 2011 writes under "Words" -> "n/a" and under "Status" -> "n/a".

So the problem might be there. The really odd thing is that everything is fine with some projects and some other ones can't be included in the TM.

Hi again Natalie and thanks for your answer.

I guess my TM is correct (checked the properties: EN-US to FRENCH).
All 4 boxes are checked in the project settings (including the update one).
All segments are approved.

Still, when I try to Finalize or directly Update my main TM, it does not work out (and it looks like if Studio can't detect anything about the project, as shown in the pictures below).

I erased the name of the client for confidentiality (no big deal though).

Quite annoying since I must deliver a big translation monday with many repeats between the files.

Thanks!
