Hi,

Is there a way to enable my client (who uses Trados 2007!) to open my bilingual Trados 2011 sdlxliff file? They want to be able to edit my translation while updating the memory.

Thanks in advance,

Sara

I think it will be usuful for you:
http://www.proz.com/forum/sdl_trados_support/222035-how_to_convert_tm_of_trados_studio_2009_into_trados_7.html

The way is to create a new TM and then open the file in Trados 7

To open the SDLXLIFF in Trados 2007... Nov 13, 2012

... Trados 2007 needs an ini file that will handle SDLXLIFF. This is possible, but the results are not very good for working with (very taggy). The better solution to this problem is to use the SDLXLIFF to Legacy Converter from the openexchange. This application can convert the SDLXLIFF to a TTX or a Bilingual Doc file that is nice and clean and your client will be able to edit in Trados 2007. Once complete they can return the edited bilingual file to you (as a TTX / Bilingual Doc) and you can use the same tool to import it back into Studio and update your own translation automatically with the changes.

You can find this tool here:

Paul
