Dear,

Please, could you explain what is the index in "SDL TRADOS / project parameters/ terms bases"(It is written on the bottom of the window "index: project language / INDEX")?

What are the trimmings to do?

Thanks a lot.

Best regards.

Index means language.
I'm not sure what trimmings are.

Thank you Emma.

"Trimmings", in other words "settings", between languages and index, in the table.

MultiTerm? Nov 26, 2012

If you use MultiTerm termbase with your project, "trimming" or setting needs to be done in the MultiTerm application since you have plenty of options.
I cannot set options widely through Trados window.

Explanation Nov 26, 2012

I will try to explain it differently.

In "Project settings", "Language pairs", "All language pairs", Termsbases".
Now, when you move up or down the termbases, the software asks you to verify indexs, which are at the bottom of the window, in the table "Indexes".

In the right column "index" of the table "indexes", please, what indexes should I choose, depending on the languages (in the left column)?

Thank you.

Project Language and Index should match Nov 27, 2012

For example, my Indexes window looks like this:

Indexes:
Project Language Index
English (United States) English
Spanish (Mexico) Spanish

Hope that helps!
