I work with Trados 2011 (SP2R). Before I save a file to target, I perform a spell check in Trados (using MS Word spell checker).

Once the target document has been saved, I view it again in Word and run a final spell check. This will sometimes pick up items not highlighted by the spell checker in Trados (such as extra spaces), and it will also highlight any other items that were highlighted in Trados but ignored (e.g. spelling errors or words that are intentionally left in a foreign language).

This has changed abruptly, and I cannot figure out why. Now, when I open a target file in Word and run the spell check, Word never finds anything wrong with it. Based on a little test I did (I ran a file with intentional mistakes through Trados and ignored the mistakes), it appears that Word now accepts whatever comes out of Trados as the final version and will not question any obvious issues.

The only way for me to change it is to use the "Recheck document" option in the Proofing segment in Word (under Options). This is very cumbersome, plus I have no idea why this is happening now. Does anyone know how to change this? I have checked both Trados and Word for clues, but nothing so far.

Strangely I had the same problem yesterday with Wordfast. Today it worked fine, however!
