We have a project consisting of FrameMaker 10 docs which have been processed through Studio 2011. One of the issues we encountered is strange behaviour when adding formatting tags like bold tags to parts of the translated segments. When we build out the MIFs, in some places the bold text appears in the MIF file but in other places, text which has clearly been bolded in the Studio editor (and where the CF tags are visible) does not appear bold in the MIF. It appears that the formatting is not being written out to the MIF in some cases.
This is a pretty big problem as some languages (German in particular) need to bold UI options etc..
Has anyone experienced similar, and is there a fix for this problem? Seemed to be straighforward in Trados 2007 and worked without problems, but not so in Studio 2011 with newer MIFs.
