Finding all TM matches for ALL the source text translation segments with one click

Hello Gurus, intermediates and SDL specialists!

Trados Studio 2011 Freelance – Editor Window:

I am looking for a neat way to do the source text analysis to find corresponding matches from my TM WITHOUT clicking each source text segment separately and manually. This is soo annoying! There must be an option to analyze ALL segments at once, right?!
I think, I just did not figure out how to, yet.
Your help is very much appreciated!<

First: thank you, Bernard.

Maybe I did not quite describe the problem well.

The settings are already as you suggested, still the problem remains:

In the editor mode, I see my spreadsheet with five columns.
1. Number of the segment
2. Source text segment
3. "Status" segment
4. Field for the translation (where the translation from my TM should show up)
5. Some additional info

To check for corresponding translations in my TM I have to click each "number", than the matching translation from my TM shows up in the translation field.
For a bigger translation with loads of segments, I do not want to click the numbers, but let the program do a whole analysis of ALL the source text segments, running through all segments by it self, followed by the display of the corresponding translations.
In my example file, I have the source text and a TM with 100% all segments translated. Still it forces me to go through one segment at a time...

aargh .... :/

Ctrl+Alt+F Mar 19, 2013

The above shortcut will translate up to the next fuzzy match. I'm still not sure exactly of what you're trying to do, have you tried Project -> Batch Tasks -> Pretranslate but should have been done when you prepared your project or are you trying to display only a particular lot of segment, then you could use a display filter

same shortcut, different outcome :( Mar 19, 2013

Thank you, Bernard for taking your time to help me out.

Using the strg+alt+f shortcut seems to work different in my trados. here it jumps to the following next line/segment, regardless of the fuzziness of the following segment after that one :/

Run a pre-translate Mar 19, 2013

Hi,

I think you're barking up the wrong tree

Just run the Batch task to pretranlsate the file. If you create a project instead of using Open Document this will happen automatically, but if you use Open Document then do this as soon as you open the file for translation:

1. Save the file (ctrl+s... this creates a single file project in the background and exposes the batch tasks)

2. Go to Project -> batch Tasks -> Pretranslate files

That's it. You can set the fuzzy match value you wish to be applied when you do this in the Project settings before you run the task so you get more or less pre-translated segments depending on the value you use.
