I would like to replace a word in a large project.
Does anyone know if SDL Trados Studio 2011 has a function that allows to search all the project files in one action?

You can merge the project files and then search in that one big file.

Elena, try the "batch find and replace" tool provided by SDL: http://www.translationzone.com/en/openexchange/AppDetails.aspx?appid=35 - you can search in both source and target text and use regular expressions if necessary.

I couldn't say for sure, but I think http://www.xbench.net/ would handle it (there's a free version). We find it very useful.

You could always use... Mar 22, 2013

... the Batch Search and Replace tool that is installed with Studio 2011. You can find it in the start menu -> all programs -> SDL -> SDL Trados Studio 2011 -> OpenExchange Applications

If you are using Studio 2009 you can download it from the OpenExchange site.

I have dowloaded the application, but it seems that it can only be added to Studio 2009 (I have 2011).
