Hallo,
I would appreciate some help for this issue...
I have already followed the most common solution, i.g. "Go to Project Settings -> File types -> Microsoft word 2007 (or other) -> Process files with tw4winMark style", but nothing really happens...
Thank you,
Foteini Almpala

re-saving your source file as RTF - this should do the trick.

Resaving as .rtf may delete the formatting of the text. If the text has some structure in it, I'd recommend resaving as .docx (depending on whether you have Word 2010 or not).

Dear Anne,
I had tried that one and it didn't work. Thank you anyway for your contribution.

conversion to RTF helped me too
Apr 29, 2015
Thanks for the help! I found this thread when ran into the same problem, for the first time - Studio 2011 not wanting to open a .doc, with the same error message as the OP.
Weirdly enough though, sometimes I've had problems with .docx but when saving it as .doc, it has then worked - as the opposite to some suggestions.
But indeed, saving as RTF worked great & saved me time and grief - thanks! These forums with helpful people here are a gem!
